75% Of The World’s Heads of States Now Using Twitter

The Digital Policy Council (DPC) has just released a new survey showcasing that 75% of the world’s mot important heads of state are now using Twitter.

The DPC evaluated 164 countries this year, finding that 123 of them have a head of state that has an active Twitter account.

That is almost double the amount in 2011 (only 69). It is also worthwhile to mention that President Barack Obama is on top of the most watched world leaders list on Twitter, having an impressive 25 million followers.

Hugo Chavez comes far behind in second with 3.5 million followers.
