At first look, this Lexus commercial featuring dozens of synchronized drones seems like it has to be done entirely utilizing CGI.

Finding out that none of the drones are, in fact, CGI, and that all of them are entirely real is absolutely terrifying.

Then, when you actually watch the making of the video, the terror subsides a bit, as the process shows the sheer brilliance of the engineers who make it possible.

The computer technology, coding and programming involved allow these autonomous quadcopters to perform incredible synchronized movements.

The scary part is what these drones will be coded for once they’re done being used for cute car commercials.
