There's Actually An App That Makes You Look Thinner With Longer Legs In Every Photo
The Amaro filter on Instagram really can only do so much.
If you want to alter a photo of yourself even more dramatically, the Spring app for iOS and Android is here to help. Created by developer Kim Taewan in Japan, Spring lets you stretch out your body to appear taller and thinner.
It wants to "help you adjust your body proportions" so "your body looks sexier." Because, you know, an artificially elongated neck is sexy.
The app asks you to pick two or three spots on your body in between the area you want to stretch. It then stretches your chosen points, making sure to keep you looking proportional.
The background gets slightly morphed, though, so be careful to avoid making your alterations look too obvious.
At 5-foot-9, I don't think I'm Spring's chosen audience. In fact, I don't think anybody should be Spring's chosen audience, but the app is apparently getting rave reviews on the iTunes and Google Play stores. So someone's buying into this nonsense.
