It can be hard to dress for your startup job. While stuffy corporate offices require classic combinations of black, grey and navy, startups require you to convey the perfect level of professionalism that’s neither too conventional nor too casual.

Well, Banana Republic has a new line for those of us who want to say “I’m innovative!” in the most subtle of ways.

Aptly called “The Startup Guy,” a model for the new summer line is shown wearing a half-tucked shirt, a belt and cuffed pants that reveal calves and brown suede loafers.

The line was inspired by a some questionably stylish techies in San Francisco, the startup capital of the US.

Rebelling against high-end fashion, dudes in startup companies, as Gawker puts it, “dress every day like it’s the first day of 9th grade,” sporting everything from t-shirts with the NASA symbol on them to actual khakis and button downs.

Mark Zuckerberg famously wore hoodies to all kinds of conferences, from the formal to the casual, and became a mogul anyway.

Alexia is a Writer for Elite Daily and one of the most inquisitive people you will ever meet. Currently a senior at Boston College, Alexia is really bad at movies (except documentaries because she obsessively watches those), controlling her portion sizes, being appropriately affectionate towards animals, tweeting, and hiding her feelings. She's a classic ENFJ who was once described as "painfully enthusiastic" -- and is still mulling over it. Your Halloween On Instagram Vs In Real Life: The Difference Is Spooky

Halloween is an extremely fun holiday, but it’s not without room for error. Our pictures are usually uploaded in the beginning of the night because what happens later on can’t […]
