23-Year-Old Discovers Stranger Online Who Looks Like Her Identical Twin (Photos)

I pray to God there is a more elaborate version of “The Parent Trap” behind this whole thing.

Amanda Fisher is a 23-year-old Texas resident who recently found out she has the most doppelgänger-y doppelgänger of all time.

It started after Amanda's friend told her he found her lookalike on Instagram.

Fisher told BuzzFeed,

I get told quite often that I look like Zooey Deschanel or Katy Perry, so I figured it was probably someone that had a slight resemblance like I do with them.

After a few other people alerted her to her mystery twin, Amanda decided to see what the hype was about.

Fisher found a near-replica of herself staring back at her through the screen.

Interestingly, Fisher claims her doppelgänger looks even more like her mother.

She pointed out, "The biggest difference between us that I've noticed is our noses — hers isn't as snubby as mine and looks more like my mom's nose than mine does."

Amanda tried reaching out to the woman via Instagram, but she had no luck. So, she posted a picture to Imgur with the hope of finding a lead on her Doppelgänger.

A few days later, someone who saw the post recognized the woman as Meredith Pond, a 22-year-old from Indiana.

The Imgur user said he or she recognized Pond's face because Pond goes to his or her hairstylist.

Amanda tracked her down on Facebook, and the two had a conversation.

There are no immediate plans to meet up, but Fisher said she would like to in the future.

She explained,

I read somewhere that everyone has at least six or seven people in the world that look a lot like you. I always thought it would be strange to meet one of those people.

That's all fine and well, but I'm still hoping Meredith is British and Amanda's dad is Dennis Quaid.
