Women Who Wear This Type Of Clothing Are 19 Times More Likely To Land Jobs

Yep, you guessed it: low-cut tops.
Women who include a photograph of themselves wearing something a bit more revealing are 19 times more likely to get an interview.
The depressing conclusion comes from a French study by Paris-Sorbonne University.
Dr. Sevag Kertechian used real job adverts to put forward two women for roles over three years. The roles were in accounting and sales.
Their resumes were sent to 200 potential employers each, and applications were split evenly with revealing and non-revealing photos.
Their skills and experiences were pretty much identical. But I bet you can guess which applications got the most interviews?
Dr. Kertechian said,
Our results showed interesting trends as low-cut dresses significantly influenced the choice of the recruiters, even for accounting positions. Regardless of the job, whether customer-facing saleswoman or office-based accountant the candidate with the low cut clothing received more positive answers. The results were quite shocking and negative but not necessarily surprising – they show we need to conduct more research.
Exactly. Bleak, but not surprising.
