We have all heard of little kids doing crazy things- but having a feather pulled out of their neck? A Kansas couple rushed their 7-month-old daughter Mya to the hospital after they noticed a large swelling in her neck.

Originally the doctors believed the swelling to be a swollen gland- then, however, the swelling grew to the size of a golf ball- which in a baby’s case is humongous- as a small bump resembling a pimple appeared atop of it.

The doctor then came in and scraped off the scab that had formed, revealing some sort of string or stick jetting out of the open wound. The doctor then pulled out the feather.

The theory is that Mya inhaled a feather from the parents’ down pillow and it must have gotten lodged in her neck; the little girl’s body started to reject the feather and pushed it out through the girl’s neck.

They said that she had rarely been on the pillow and that it had been stored away for months.

Mya is said to be “almost 100% recovered”.
