You feel like the man after saving up for that brand new, $10,000 3D TV, which is clearly the best thing on the market. Right? Well, we advise you to take a seat, because this new television technology may have you sick to your stomach.

That’s right, your 3D TV is now obsolete.

Television technology is moving so rapidly, those of us who still have a basic flat screen are completely behind.

The new technology is called 4K, and features ultra-high definition that is four times as sharp as your typical 1080p television.

Sony has released an 84-inch model, the Sony KD-84X9005 4K TV, which is retailing for £25,000 at Harrods in London.

The giant screen can convert ordinary television into 3D, and comes with five pairs of glasses for viewing the pin-sharp images.

The non-3D images are up to 16 times sharper than those of a normal television.

The problem is, not every program is recorded in ultra-high definition, meaning that your TV will not be able to live up to its potential until the equipment changes on the production side.

The Flyer About Jews Needing To Register In East Ukraine Is Thankfully Fake

Western intervention in Ukraine seemed like a distinct possibility yesterday when it was reported that the Jewish community in the eastern city of Donetsk, currently occupied by pro-Russian militants, was given leaflets saying that they would be deported if they did not register with what is calling itself the city’s temporary government. But according to […]

The Underwater Search For MH370 Could Cost A Quarter Billion Dollars

An underwater vehicle made by a private American company is currently searching for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. It has come up with nothing after four missions covering nearly 50 square miles of sea. If the US continues employing private companies to search for the plane, it could cost a quarter of a billion dollars. […]

Preschool Girl Finds A Xanax Pill Inside One Of Her Easter Eggs

Roseville, Michigan, sounds like the most bizarre place in the world as a preschooler brought home a plastic egg that had Alprazolam (the generic brand for Xanax) inside. Maybe it was a gift for the parent since this occurred during an after school activity at Huron Park Elementary where parents and children came together to […]

I Don’t Want My MTV: How MTV Lost Its Originality And Role As A Cultural Gatekeeper

MTV will host its annual movie awards this Sunday, April 13, seemingly the end of the heralded awards season. It’s almost an afterthought for Hollywood and certainly doesn’t have as much impact on the culture at large. Recent years have seen the network’s profile decline significantly with an ill-advised format change. In the interest of […]

Why Wes Anderson Should Care Less About Quirkiness And More About Character

I’ve always liked watching Wes Anderson’s films, but that’s about as far as I go with them. I’ve never been embroiled in heated debates over them. I’ve never stayed up at night thinking about them. They’re whimsical and colorful and grab my attention in the moments when I’m viewing them but afterward, I almost immediately […]

Who’s Got It Right: Those Who Care Or Those Who Don’t Give A Sh*t?

I spend quite a bit of time thinking about the way that we experience and perceive the world. We spend so much time lost in our own realities that we often don’t realize that we can change them. It’s not about changing the physical things themselves – although removing things certainly does make it easier […]
