Apple Mucks Up Launch Of Russian iTunes, Shows Users Porn Sites
Apple just launched its iTunes in Russia- and boy did they screw things up.
Jordan Kahn, at 9 to 5 Mac, reports that Apple “accidentally” forgot to replace some placeholder in iTunes and that now, instead of featuring music, iTunes in Russia is featuring porn.
Steve Jobs was unwaveringly against featuring porn in the Apple App Store and iTunes.
He was quoted saying:
“There’s a porn store for Android… you can download it, your kids can download it. That’s a place we don’t want to go, so we’re not going to.”
While this is allegedly a screw-up- we here at Elite believe that Apple has once again gotten something right. You have to give the people what they want. What do Russians want? Porn- duh.
