A 20-year-old Brazilian student is auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder to raise cash to build homes for poverty-stricken families in her homeland.

Catarina Migliorini, is set to give away the money from the auction, with the current bid at $155,000, into a non-governmental organization which will construct modern houses in her southern Brazilian home state of Santa Catarina.

Rejecting the notions of her being a prostitute, Migliorini said she believes in love, but saw this as a chance to have a positive impact on the world.

The physical education student has sparked even more controversy because she will be followed by an Australian film crew for a documentary called Virgins Wanted.

“I saw this as a business. I have the opportunity to travel, to be part of a movie and get a bonus with it.

“If you only do it once in your life then you are not a prostitute, just like if you take one amazing photograph it does not automatically make you a photographer.

“The auction is just business, I’m a romantic girl at heart and believe in love. But this will make a big difference to my area,” she said.

She will receive $20,000 and 90 per cent of the final auction sale price, which ends on October 15.

This Anti-Bullying Commercial Means Well But Completely Misses The Mark

Er… this anti-bullying PSA might prove that sometimes, something that is well-intentioned can still fail to deliver. The commercial, produced on behalf of VH1 by advertising agency Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi, attempts to show how bullying is bad, and the ways in which students can cope after they’ve been victimized by the school’s biggest […]

I absolutely hate going to networking events and getting caught up in conversations with wantrepreneurs. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about helping people start up with their ideas, but there are far too many wantrepreneurs in the world today. I attribute my success to one main thing: the fact that I took massive action […]

The Biggest Problem That You Have Is That You Think Too Much

As always, a decision needs to be made and because my life seems to be too damn interesting, it can potentially be a life-changing […]

Redneck With Road Rage Gets A Taste Of Instant Karma (Video)

There are no winners here, only losers. Everyone is wrong. Let’s look at the facts: you have a person in the left lane filming the person behind them, who is obviously trying to pass. Were they tailgating? Probably. But when someone in the passing lane wants to pass you, the normal protocol is to move […]
