Dietary habits vary vastly around the world, and while this may be common knowledge, seeing food consumption side-by-side really forces us to step back and realize the differences.

Photographer Peter Menzel has compiled this incredible project, showing what one week of groceries looks like in countries all over the world.

The differences are stark, as the diets between those in Australia and Chad couldn’t be more unalike.

While countries like the United States and Great Britain have tons of processed foods, the groceries of India and Ecuador contain many fresh fruits and veggies, accompanied by people who look much happier.

Italy’s diet contains lots of bread and pasta to nobody’s surprise, while Mongolia features meat and more eggs than we can count.

Check out these breathtaking photos below, and let us know which grocery list you would prefer!

Have you ever seen a baby hedgehog? No? Well, then it’s about damn time, because they are freakin’ adorable. Millennial Politics: If You Are Not At The Table, You Will Be On The Menu

Boring. Broken. Self-interested. These are adjectives that Millennials are currently using to describe Washington DC and, more specifically, Congress. I always wondered why the majority of my peers were so repelled by politics and why they only chose to vote, like the majority of Americans, for the president during the general election. A backstory for […]

‘X-Mas Jammies’ Family Is Back With A Halloween Cover Of ‘Gin And Juice’

Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice” is not a family friendly song. But, this Halloween-themed parody cover sure is. The song was reworked by the Holderness family just in time for All Hallows’ Eve. Their version is called “Kin and Moose.” It’s a whole family affair, though Mr. Holderness really holds it down in this one. Usually, […]
