New Computerized ‘Smartfork’ Buzzes When You Are Overeating

If changing your diet and counting calories is too much work, a new “smartfork” can help your lazy ass finally lose weight, by buzzing to let you know when you’re overeating.

The Hong Kong-based tech company HAPILABS has unveiled its HAPIfork, a computerized fork that gently buzzes when you’re eating at too quick of a rate.

The smartfork counts each bite, your average meal time, and the number of bites per meal.

After each meal, the smartfork syncs with a smartphone app to track your eating habits in an attempt to help you lose weight.

When you eat too quickly, you’re more likely to gain weight, as your brain doesn’t have enough time to process how much you’ve consumed.

The HAPIfork  even lets you share your progress with others in the HAPIfork community.

The smartfork comes in five different colors, and will soon ship for a reported $99, according to PCMag.

Will this help some people curb their poor eating habits?
