Lorena Vizina and husband Justin Robinson are being held on $20,000 bond at Washoe County Jail on charges for suspicious of child abuse. The couple’s daughter ate heroin that was inside of her peach on Saturday night while she was in Robinson’s care.
Both Vizina and Robinson, 23 and 25 respectively, have both admitted to being heroin and meth addicts.
Vizina admitted to ingesting heroin on Saturday night while the baby was in Robinson’s care. Robinson said he only left his daughter alone for a few minutes. When he returned, he saw a powder-like substance on her mouth.
His daughter shook and rolled her eyes within the 45 minutes following the incident. Robinson then took her to her grandparents.
According to police, the little girl had blue lips and skin, and was unresponsive. Blood tests revealed traces of codeine and morphine in her system.
