Dominique Strauss-Kahn is reaching out to his ex-wife for a loan of $3 million in order to help pay off approximately half of the money he needs to give the chamber maid who claimed he tried to rape her.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the defamed former head of the International Monetary Fund, will pay to have Nafissatou Diallo, 33, sign a legal agreement dropping a civil lawsuit against him.
To add insult to injury, the 63-year-old Strauss-Kahn will have to reach out to his ex-wife, multimillionaire heiress Ann Sinclair, to foot part of the bill.
According to today’s Le Monde newspaper, the sum amounts to $6 million.
“According to his confidants, he must give six million dollars to the woman who has accused him of sexual assault,” reads Le Monde.
“According to friends, he has confided that he personally does not have this sum.
“Despite a number of conferences given in private universities or at the invitation of private banks, despite also his work as an adviser, notably in Morocco, Mr. Strauss-Kahn has neither sufficient income nor savings.
“He has therefore told his family that he will be getting a bank loan of three million dollars. His wife Anne Sinclair, from whom he has been living apart since the summer, should also lend the remaining three million dollars.”
