A scary reality is about to ensue, as due process has been completely thrown out the window. That’s right, drone strikes on U.S. citizens have now been authorized, with wanted fugitive Christopher Dorner being the first target.
Christopher Dorner is the former cop who has waged war against the LAPD, and has become the first U.S. citizen on American soil to become a target of an unmanned drone attack.
Dorner has gone on a killing spree, having already killed three people, and the city of Los Angeles has put a $1 million bounty on his head.
Dorner is believed to be hiding somewhere in California’s San Bernardino Mountains, where locating him without air support may very well be impossible.
While he has killed multiple people, does the U.S. military have the right to just take him out without fair trial? Don’t we have a judicial system in place even for the most heinous of criminals?
While losing American citizens to killers is terrible, losing our principles in the process is even worse.
