A Florida (surprise) man has been arrested after he allegedly tried to force his fiancée to swallow her engagement ring because she wanted to end their engagement and call off their wedding.

Faron Thompson, 29, was arrested on Sunday night and charged with battery via strangulation and child neglect.

Thompson’s fiancée escaped her Orlando, Florida home and called 911 after she fled to her local Walmart.

The woman, who has not been identified, alleges that Thompson attacked her while she was holding their one-year-old baby.

The 29-year-old Thompson also allegedly threatened to burn the woman’s house down, according to Click Orlando.

The woman said an argument led to Thompson holding her down on the kitchen counter and trying to force the ring down her throat.

She also claims that he covered her mouth and tried to stop her from breathing.

What was Thompson’s defense when he spoke to authorities?

Women always claim assault, but never accept responsibility for provoking someone.”

That’s grade-A Florida class, right there. Thompson is currently being held in the Orange County Jail.
