Sydney Smoot has lost her patience with her local school board, and the 9-year-old isn't afraid to express it.

During a March 17 Hernando County School Board meeting, Smoot stood up to deliver a speech condemning the Florida Standards Assessment Test.

She argues standardized tests turn children into numbers instead of unique individuals, reducing a very important part of growing up to a series of practice problems.

Smoot delivers her points with the cool confidence of any great orator. After testing has been sorted out, Smoot surely owes it to herself to join the middle school debate team.
