They say giving is better than receiving, and there is no better feeling than bringing tears of joy to your father’s face during the holidays with a gift he couldn’t have dreamed of.

An Alabama football fan initially received a hat for Christmas, for which, he was more than appreciative of, trying it on with incredible enthusiasm.

He wasn’t prepared for what was in store for him next.

“Hot diggity dog!” the man shouts, as he tosses the hat on his head to try it on for size.

“Oh I like it. I like it,” he says, as his son asks him, “What size is it?”

The father takes the hat off his head and looked inside, only to find a pair of tickets to the BCS National Championship football game.

Instantly, his expression turns to tears of joy, as the Alabama football fan was left speechless.

“We’re going to the game, Pop! We’re going to the game!” shouted his ecstatic son.

His father starts shrieking with joy as he half-cries, half-laughs with the tickets in hand.

He screams: “All of us?!” to which his son replies, “No just me and you.”

Then, the father and son share a loving embrace.

Ticketmaster is sold out of tickets to the national championship and the cheapest tickets available on StubHub are going for $979. The game is on the evening of January 7th.

That’s one hell of a gift!
