Husbands Screaming About How Much They Love Their Wives Is The New Craze In Japan [Video]
In Japanese culture, it is usually considered strange for a man to verbally express his love for his wife in an especially passionate manner because they are taught that modesty and emotional resistance are symbols of masculinity.
This tradition was still prevalent in most Japanese marriages until about five years ago when Tokyo’s “Devoted Husbands Organization” created their own holiday in which men go on stage with a microphone and publicly declare their love for the women in their lives along with anything else they might be truly grateful for.
The annual celebration takes place in the middle of a park and is held on the last day of January each year. The ceremony ends with every participant screaming “I love you!” in unison.
