Most of us try to get our ex-girlfriends back by winning a promotion or working out.

But conventional methods obviously weren’t satisfying enough for this African fellow who killed his ex-girlfriend’s new lover and ate his heart.

According to the Times Live, a man frantically alerted his neighbors in Malunga Park, Cape Town, last Tuesday night that he had just seen an act of violence more gruesome than anything ever reported in the area.

Locals were told to covertly look through the window of a nearby home where they saw the murderer eating the heart out of a dead man with a fork and knife.

A resident said,

When we got there the man kept muttering ‘I am the king’ and declaring his undying love for the woman.

The initial witness had been renting a room at the back of the house belonging to the victim’s girlfriend.

The victim, 62, had just hired his killer to install new windows at his house, where the murder took place.

Police were called to the home at about 10:30 pm.

The murderer and cannibal, a Zimbabwean, stabbed the victim on the left side of his chest and in his neck. On the left side of his face was an obvious bite mark.

A piece of the victim’s heart was hanging out of the Zimbabwean’s mouth when he was arrested. Police determined the murder was committed out of jealousy because the victim had been dating the murderer’s ex-girlfriend for over four years.

This is actually the second time this girl’s lover was murdered by another as her former husband was killed by a man she was seeing on the side in 1996, the Times Live reports.

Moving On: How To Decide What Happens After Your Partner Cheats

I’ve never been cheated on. Well, not to my knowledge, anyway. If you happen to know something I don’t, please let me live in ignorant bliss. It’s a little bizarre for me to feel lucky that none of my partners stooped to that level, yet that’s the norm my generation has grown to accept. Once upon a […]
