JetBlue Helps Goodbye Letter Reach Newtown Child’s Funeral

Noah Pozner, a 6-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook Massacre, was buried this Monday morning with handwritten letters from his family members saying their goodbyes.

Noah’s little, soon to be 6-year-old cousin, wrote a letter to his cousin Sunday morning, but since his father was already in Connecticut and Noah’s cousin lives in Seattle, had no way of getting it to his cousin’s funeral.

Noah’s aunt Victoria (@VDog) decided that she would go onto her Twitter account and ask for help in finding a way to get her son’s handwritten letter to the funeral in time. Since it was Sunday, the U.S. Postal Service was closed and neither UPS nor FedEx would be able to deliver it in time.

Victoria’s tweets were sent to JetBlue and Delta- both airlines run red-eyes between Seattle and New York. Within 30 minutes, JetBlue replied that they would be more than happy to help. The letter was successfully delivered.
