An artist managed to troll Best Buy customers and employees by creating a fake product display for a useless plastic box.
The artist known as Plastic Jesus pulled off the stunt at a Best Buy in Los Angeles, accompanying the useless plastic black box with Best Buy’s signature yellow price tag that read $99.99.
The description of the product would give away its lack of legitimacy, as the Useless PlasticBox 1.2, model number SH17 (sh*t), is exactly what it says it is.
“Another gadget you don’t really need,” reads the description. “Will not work once you get it home. New model out in 4 weeks. Battery life is too short to be of use.”
Sounds like everything you’ve ever purchased from Best Buy, no?
Plastic Jesus gave everyone a good laugh with this one, but not all of his work is so humorous, such as his piece inspired by Trayvon Martin that is extremely powerful. Check out his work on his website!
