Some children say things that baffle us because of their honesty or imagination, but when one says something that blows us away because of how genuinely amazing it is, we have a special child on our hands.

Reddit user Tatsputin posted a photo of his daughter’s response to her first grade teacher asking what she would do if she found a pot of gold.

Here’s her answer:

“If I found a pot of gold I would leave it incase it belongs to somebody. I wouldn’t want to take somebody’s things. You wouldn’t either, would you? Well, try to do things nice to living things like plants and people. Respect them. Okay?”

This girl was raised the right way! Not only does she do the selfless thing because she feels she should, but she insists that other people do it, too. There is hope for the future, after all! (Click to enlarge).
