Man Has Dreadlocks Stolen At South African Nightclub
A Zimbabwean man was robbed a nightclub in Johannesburg, South Africa, but not of his wallet or cell phone. The thieves made off with the man’s dreadlocks.
A report released on Tuesday revealed that Mutsa Madonko, who had grown his hair for 10 years, was found to be passed out with his had shaven in the nightclub.
“When we found him, he still had his cellphone and wallet with all his money inside,” his friend Jasper Munsinwa told The Times.
Natural dreadlocks are sold as hair extensions for up to hundreds of dollars depending how long they are.
While synthetic hair has been used to provide extensions for years, the demand for real human hair has increased in recent years, and Madonko was unfortunately a victim of dreadlocks theft.
