Finally! Someone has come up with a way to get every last drop of ketchup out of the bottle, every last dab of mayo out of the jar, and every last glob of hair gel out of the tube.
5 students from MIT along with their professor have invented LiquiGlide- a plant-based, edible coating that can be placed on any surface allowing liquid-based products to slide right off.
Students Adam Paxson, Dave Smith, Chris Love, Rajeev Dhiman, Brian Solomon, along with their professor Kirpa Varanasi created LiquiGlide last May.
It has now been named one of Time’s Best Inventions of 2012. It also came 2nd in MIT’s $100,000 Entrepreneurship Competition. Hopefully we will never run out of ketchup again.
