Mitt Romney made sure to stop at McDonald’s before meeting President Obama for a lunch meeting today at The White House.

It’s unclear as to what time Romney visited McDonald’s, as the photo was posted on Reddit about 2 AM EST.

The two former adversaries sat down to talk about shared interests and plans to better the country today at the White House’s private dining room.

Romney arrived at the White House early Thursday afternoon in a black SUV, walking into the West Wing alone. He left after staying at the White House for just over an hour.

“The president noted that Gov. Romney did a terrific job running the Olympics and that that skills set lends itself to ideas that could make the federal government work better, which is a passion of the president’s,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

Obama’s aides reached out to the Romney team shortly before Thanksgiving in order to set up the meeting.

Other than the appearance at the White House today, Romney has virtually disappeared from politics following his election loss.

Romney has spent the past three weeks largely in seclusion at his family’s Southern California home. He has made no public appearances, drawing media attention only after being photographed at Disneyland in addition to stops at the movies and the gym with his wife, Ann.

Relationship 101: Why College And Dating Ultimately Doesn’t Mix

I stare at a Powerpoint presentation titled, “Introduction to Psychology.” My professor is introducing himself and the agenda of the course, but I’m too busy hiding my phone underneath my desk to answer the missed text messages from my current boyfriend. We are in the middle of a stupid argument, like most couples often find themselves […]

The Only Unfixable Problem In Your Relationship Is That It’s Holding You Back

Without its difficulties, life would carry out in a flat-line manner: static, boring and uneventful. Where is the fun in that? While the struggle may be real, and there may often be bumps in the road, we would otherwise have no motivational reasoning to consciously work to better ourselves. There are struggles we must experience in our […]

Why We Need To Get Over One-Night Stands In Order To Get In Touch With Our Sexuality

Let’s talk about sex. More specifically, let’s talk about sexuality. I’ve noticed that despite all of the interest in the current hook-up culture, we don’t seem to have an open conversation about the effects it may have on sexuality as a whole. Naturally, I find this to be an interesting contradiction. While we focus so much on the […]
