Mitt Romney made sure to stop at McDonald’s before meeting President Obama for a lunch meeting today at The White House.

It’s unclear as to what time Romney visited McDonald’s, as the photo was posted on Reddit about 2 AM EST.

The two former adversaries sat down to talk about shared interests and plans to better the country today at the White House’s private dining room.

Romney arrived at the White House early Thursday afternoon in a black SUV, walking into the West Wing alone. He left after staying at the White House for just over an hour.

“The president noted that Gov. Romney did a terrific job running the Olympics and that that skills set lends itself to ideas that could make the federal government work better, which is a passion of the president’s,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

Obama’s aides reached out to the Romney team shortly before Thanksgiving in order to set up the meeting.

Other than the appearance at the White House today, Romney has virtually disappeared from politics following his election loss.

Romney has spent the past three weeks largely in seclusion at his family’s Southern California home. He has made no public appearances, drawing media attention only after being photographed at Disneyland in addition to stops at the movies and the gym with his wife, Ann.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Will Be Sold In Russia, And Now There Will Be Even More Hipsters

In dimly-lit dive bars across the country, the American hipster is weeping. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was once the refreshment of blue-collar workers before becoming the unofficial drink of the young hipster movement. Today, Eugene Kashper of Russia-based Oasis Beverages announced the sale of Milwaukee-based Pabst Brewing Company. PBR is a 170-year-old brand that stretches […]

3 Types Of Friends That Continually Hurt Us But We Just Can’t Let Go Of

We all have a few people from our group of friends whom we have some choice words for at times. They continually hurt us or let us down, but for some reason, we keep letting them come back. If this were a boyfriend, most people would have said adios a long time ago, but sometimes our best […]

The Rule of 3: Why 3 Men In Your Life Is Always Better Than 1

I’ve been developing a theory over the past few months that I think has the potential to better the lives of Gen-Y women everywhere. A couple of years ago, I read Tucker Max’s “Asshole’s Finish First,” and while rummaging through the debauchery and chauvinism, I came across a glimmer of wisdom. Tucker developed a theorem […]
