NASA Unveils New Buzz Lightyear Inspired Spacesuits

NASA’s taken its design for its next generation of spacesuit – the agency’s first change in 20 years – from a famous cartoon, as they will be Buzz Lightyear inspired spacesuits.

That’s right, the new white and green Z-1 suit boasts the same trim seen on the Toy Story character’s spacesuit.

The Buzz Lightyear inspired spacesuits were revealed via NASA’s Flickr today.

The helmet is a large, hemispherical transparent dome that is nearly identical to that of Buzz Lightyear.


Astronauts will now be able to climb into their suits quickly, instead of the hour-long process it currently takes.

This suit may very well take us to infinity and beyond.
