New details have emerged about the Sandy Hook shooting, and some questions about 20-year-old Adam Lanza have finally been answered.

On that fateful day in Connecticut, Adam Lanza fired 155 bullets in fewer than five minutes, as he killed 20 children and 6 faculty members at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Investigators today released the first information pertaining to the tragedy since the initial reports.

While looking through the home Adam Lanza shared with his mother in Newtown, Connecticut, investigators found a vast array of weaponry.

In addition, they recovered a National Rifle Association certificate, drawings Adam Lanza made and seven of his journals.

This was the first time investigators went inside the house since Lanza shot his mother to death and drove to Sandy Hook to commit the massacre on December 14th.

Other notable items recovered include a New York Times article from 2008 on the school shooting at Northern Illinois University, as well as a check to be used for purchasing a firearm from Lanza’s mother, contained in a holiday card.

154 rounds fired by Lanza came from the Bushmaster .223-model rifle, and the final bullet was a single round from his Glock 10mm handgun, which he used to take his own life.
