NYC Man Gets His Stolen iPhone Back By Pretending To Be A Hot Girl On A Dating Site
A New York City man intuitively decided to use a creative way to retrieve his stolen iPhone, as he posed as a hot girl from a dating website and convinced the guy to meet up with him.
Jazz trombonist Nadav Nirenberg says he left the phone in a livery cab on New Year’s Eve, and discovered the next morning that someone was using his email address to message women on a dating app on his phone.
The 27-year-old thought swiftly and created an account on the dating service, posing as a hot girl and offering him a date.
When the man arrived at Nirenberg’s Brooklyn apartment with the stolen iPhone, he was greeted by the musician wielding a $20 bill and a hammer.
The thief relinquished the stolen iPhone and left without a word.
