Forget those sketchy e-mails in your Yahoo inbox that offer Viagra for extraordinarily low prices. You can finally cut out the middleman and buy the literal “pick-me-up” from the source itself: Pfizer.

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced on Monday that the ever-popular blue pill will be available directly on its website.

The not-so-subtly titled e-commerce site, Viagra Home Delivery, allows prescription holders to bypass pharmacies and middlemen. Customers can purchase the very important pills without having the embarrassment of facing a pharmacist with that dreadful prescription.

Pfizer is looking to combat the amount of counterfeit Viagra sold online, and the new e-commerce site is certainly one way to go about it.

During research in 2011, Pfizer’s Global Security arm discovered that on 22 websites with the message “buy Viagra,” 80% of the pills were counterfeit.

“We have seen counterfeit medicines manufactured in filthy and deplorable conditions, yet some people do not realize the risks that this poses to their health and safety, our top priority,” said Matthew Bassiur, vice president, Global Security.

While a single pill of Viagra sells for $25, many sites offer generic Viagra pills for $1 to $3.

The only issue is, no generic versions of Viagra actually exist, so these are mostly fake pills.

If you need the pill, we have two options for you: get the real thing, or switch your sexual partner up… that might be the real problem!
