Protesters In Turkey Overtake Police Squad And Use Their Riot Shields (Video)

Rioters in Instanbul charged on the police riot squad, overpowering them by throwing rocks and coming in mass numbers.

The charge was overwhelming, injuring many officers, who fled in response.

The rioters then picked up the abandoned police riot shield and utilized them, forming their own riot squad.

This is just the latest development in the protests that began in Gezi Park and have spread nationwide.

The rebellion is against the increasingly totalitarian government that is impeding the democracy of the country, with more and more religious influence infiltrating the government.
