Disgusting Rape Joke Goes Viral On Twitter And All Faith In Humanity Is Lost
World

To echo most of the comments being generated by Twitter‘s most recent awful rape joke, it has to be one of the worst attempt at humor ever to be tweeted. Someone thought it would be good idea to write:

“Why are girls so scare of rape? Y’all should feel pride that a guy risked his life in jail just to f–k you.”

A few things come to mind with this. Obviously, the first is that the joke itself is so terrible that it should not be considered one. Indeed it isn’t being regarded as such by the masses either. The Huffington Post writes that the Tumblr blog, “F–king Rape Culture” displayed the names of every Twitter user who shared the joke, saying:

“None of these people will mind at all if you hit them in the face with a spade. After all, it’s flattering that you’re risking jail to hit them.”

Here’s my thought though, what idiot would think it’s a good idea to write something like this in a public forum? Thinking it is bad enough, but one can’t control that nearly as well as actively typing it into a device, and pressing send.

Are people becoming so short-sighted that they cannot anticipate the sh*t-storm that such a clusterf*ck-causing comment could create? With the overwhelming number of insensitive Halloween costumes and tweets like this lately, it’s just been insane.

I mean, hey, you’re giving me things to write about, but please let’s smarten up a little, people.

Then And Now: How 2014′s Kentucky Wildcats Are Topping Michigan’s Fab Five Of 1992

Even if there’s good reason to do so, it feels borderline sacrilegious to compare John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats to the Fab Five freshmen of Michigan University’s 1991-92 men’s basketball team. After all, the phenomenal group of first-year students that descended upon Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus in the Fall of ’91 was the first of its […]
