Self-Proclaimed 'Feminist' Aborts Baby Because She Didn't Want A Boy
A blogger who calls herself a feminist has revealed she had an abortion not too long ago solely because the fetus was male.
The woman, known only as "Lana," begins her post on the website Injustice Stories by describing her dedication toward women's rights.
According to the Daily Caller, she claims she has given up a career to fight for the cause and has traveled to campaign for gender equality.
Her hatred of men (which, to be clear, is not feminism) was solidified when she was insulted on a flight to an Occupy Wall Street event in San Francisco.
She told a man sitting next to her the purpose of her trip, to which he replied, "Bitches like you need to learn their place," the Huffington Post reports.
Lana screamed "Assault!," but flight attendants refused to force the man to move his seat because he hadn't physically touched her.
Crew members instead suggested she move to some empty seats in economy class, which she did.
She wrote,
This left me in tears. I knew the only way to get away was to move seats so I did so tearfully and having felt as though I had been verbally and emotionally raped.
This experience was then interpreted to reflect her view of the entire male population.
She wrote,
By the time we landed, my outlook had changed, I could no longer depend on men to be an ally of the cause.
Lana became pregnant at some point in 2012 via what she calls a "donator."
It's not clear how she was so sure she would have a girl, but the blogger had already begun researching all-girl daycares and schools to make sure boys would not interfere with her child's development.
Then she got (what she considered) bad news: Lana's body had "betrayed" her, as she says, and was carrying a male baby.
Hearing her baby had a penis immediately triggered an extreme fit of "crying, sobbing, uncontrollable weeping, mental anguish the likes of which may only be experienced by those who have had their lives destroyed by war," the blog says.
She had an abortion just a few days after learning the sex of her baby.
She said the procedure made her feel free and strong, and she was ultimately proud she had denied her body's will to "bring another monster into the world."
Lana was instantly lambasted for her decision but stands by her right to do whatever she pleases with her own body.
She also claims not to hate men but "rather the product of an environment or social circle they have been exposed to."
Lana is now the mother of a 1-year-old girl.
