Well, it was nice while it lasted. A software developer just got fired for outsourcing his work to China so he could chill and browse the web all day.

The man who is only being identified as “Bob” is in his mid-40s, and is a family man.

Working as a software developer, his superiors praised his for being “the best developer in the building.”

His code was clean, well written, and submitted in a timely fashion,” a case study by Verizon said.

“Quarter after quarter, his performance review noted him as the best developer in the building.”

The work the report praised was actually that of people Bob hired in China, while he perused away at Reddit and watched cat videos.

Bob would then go and take a 90-minute lunch break after his strenuous morning.

Bob would then return to work in the afternoon, browsing eBay and updating his Facebook.

The report shows that Bob was able to pull this off with multiple companies, as he earned several hundred thousands of dollars a years while paying a Chinese firm approximately $50,000 to do all of the work.

We applaud Bob, as he has really taken the reins and embodied the entrepreneurial spirit.

5 Common Misconceptions About The Federal Minimum Wage In The US

Minimum wage has been a hotly contested topic since it was first introduced in Washington in 1912. It started as a state-by-state initiative — until the first federal minimum wage was instituted in 1933, at 25 cents per hour. The federal minimum wage was quickly ruled unconstitutional until 1938, when Congress passed a law allowing for […]
