A teenage girl has been accused of stabbing her now-deceased best friend 65 times in an act of revenge over naked photos of her that were uploaded to Facebook.

The New York Daily News reports that 16-year-old Erandy Elizabeth Gutierrez stabbed Anel Baez, also 16, at the latter’s home in Guamuchil, Mexico, on March 19.

Gutierrez was arrested three days later while attending Baez’s funeral.

The two reportedly took naked photos of each other that Baez posted on Facebook when they got into an argument.

Some time later, Baez asked Gutierrez to come over and make amends. Gutierrez went to use the bathroom at one point but grabbed a knife from the kitchen instead and murdered her best friend.

Gutierrez warned of an attack on Twitter in the weeks leading up to the murder.

“It may seem that I am very calm, but in my head I have killed you at least three times,” Gutierrez wrote.

Guiterrez is expected to be charged with murder later this week but will be prosecuted as a juvenile in conjunction with Mexican law and may only go to prison for up to seven years.
