A surveillance video from Turkey may very well show what is apparently a woman walking down the street who stops to give birth, as a baby-sized object falls to the ground from under her skirt.

The woman, who is said to be a teenager, stops momentarily with the two men she is walking with to observe what fell from her dress, then proceeds to walk away.

Yes, indeed the video shows the birth of a child, as other witnesses came over to the corner to observe the newborn laying on the ground.

A crowd formed, and some bystanders called authorities to get paramedics on the scene.

Despite the horrific entrance into the world, the baby survived and was later named Ecem Ahu by hospital staff.

The teenage girl said to police that she did give birth in the street, but she did not know.

“Something fell from me,” she said during questioning. “I thought it was a blood clot. I didn’t know it was the baby.”

Her parents also allegedly said they did not know their daughter was pregnant.

But hospital staff said the newborn was found with her umbilical cord tied up, which suggested it had been born earlier.

Thankfully, the baby is now safe with hospital staff.
