Twitter’s New Video-Sharing App ‘Vine’ Is Already Filled With Porn
Twitter has launched a new video-sharing app, but it is being plagued by one of the most common internet problems: a deluge of porn.
The lack of restrictions and ease of sharing videos on Vine, the new video-sharing app from Twitter, has made it a haven for porn lovers.
Users are able to search the app with hashtags, which means a hashtag of a dirty word provides a ton of pornographic videos — the more specific the term, the more specific the videos.
This has many people concerned with the app’s accessibility, as nearly anyone can access porno on it with minimal effort.
The only way to curb these explicit videos is to mark them as inappropriate using the button next to the video.
This tag wouldn’t necessarily lead to the video being removed, as Twitter has been known to be censorship-free unless it pertains to the legality of content.
Twitter issued an apology today after pornographic footage was promoted as an “editor’s pick” on Vine.
If you’re going on the internet and are not expecting to see any pornographic images, you’re gonna have a bad time.
