Multiple UFO sightings have been reported across the country in the last week, from San Francisco all the way to New York City.

A series of hovering lights have caused even the biggest of skeptics to freak out a bit, as they reside in the air and hover unlike anything known to man.

These are unidentified flying objects by definition, and the UFO sightings, the latest being in San Francisco and New York, have many concerned.

“I wasn’t sure if at first if it was another Tequila hazed mirage, but myself and a few bystanders were all in complete awe at the lights we saw on Valencia,” said Enrique Barrios, who witnessed the lights hovering over San Francisco.

The bizarre scene has local authorities and scientific experts dumbfounded, and came a mere six days after a similar sighting in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, New York.

“It’s not a planet, it’s not a constellation, it’s not meteors, it’s not the moon,” Bing Quock, assistant director of the Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences told CBS5 after viewing the San Francisco footage.

Asked if he believes they could be extra-terrestrial spaceships, he answers: “That would not be my first guess, no.”

There is speculation that the lights are merely balloons filled with lights, similar to Chinese lanterns.

“In the beginning they looked like flying candles,” Mr. Barrios told CBS before adding, “and then afterwards they started making formations, triangular formations.”

That change in direction is what left him sceptical on their of-this-world identity.

“I am 100 percent sure this was a UFO … you folks be the judge,” said Barrios.

In San Francisco:

In New York:

This whole doomsday scenario that is set to hit in nine days just got a bit scarier.
