A Florida restaurant has been accused of cooking and serving rats to customers. The Vietnamese restaurant Thuy Cafe in St. Petersburg received an anonymous complaint alleging that it captures rats from its roof and dumpster, then cleans and cooks them before serving them to customers.

The Huffington Post reached out to restaurant owner Thy L, who denied the accusation.

Several people posted about the accusation on the Cafe’s Facebook page.

I was stunned, appalled and outraged this morning when one of my loyal customers called me and told me that there was a news segment broadcast on Channel 10 News alleging that Thuy’s was capturing and cooking RATS at our café!

This allegation, which apparently came from some “anonymous source” (which I believe was prompted by jealousy) was not supported by any evidence whatsoever, is totally untrue, utterly false, and blatantly defamatory.

Le explained that the footage shows rats being cooked was filmed in Vietnam, not Florida.

Men Are Wearing Fake Boobs To Support Breast Cancer In Japan (Photos)

Anything raising positive awareness for a cause is, in my book, a good thing. People tend to be ignorant of problems not directly affecting them, so it’s important to use media as a means to raise awareness and promote activism. That being said, China’s newest campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer is one of […]
