25-year-old Rachel Wolf always dreamed of the day she would get to dance with her father on her wedding day. But her father, Dr. James Wolf, has less than three months to live.

So a few weeks ago, Rachel, who isn’t even engaged, put on a beautiful white gown and got her hair and makeup done as if she were preparing for her wedding day.

In a “Today” show interview that aired yesterday, Wolf explained that she wanted to pre-record a father-daughter wedding dance so that James, who is dying of pancreatic cancer, could in some way be there on her big day.

“There are a lot of things that I would’ve liked the girls to experience with me being there,” an emotional Dr. Wolf said. “And I’m not going to be there.”

Rachel and James shared an unbelievably touching dance to Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella” at Auburn Recreation Park in Auburn, California.
