Woman Meets Her Exact Lookalike After Finding Her On Social Media (Video)

by Gillian Fuller

Some people believe everybody has a twin somewhere in the world.

One woman found hers -- through Facebook, of all places.

Niamh Geaney, along with her two friends Terence Manzanga and Harry English, decided to host a competition between the three of them to see who could find their “twin” the fastest. They called the contest Twin Strangers and publicized the search across various social media platforms.

The pals were inspired by journalist Sophie Robehmed's 2011 revelation that the world could hold a person who bears features identical to her own.

In this contest, Geaney won. A woman named Karen submitted a photo, and it's insane how much the two women look alike: They could be identical twins.

It's freaky.

Geaney made the announcement on Facebook, writing,

I found Karen through the power of social media and this weekend, we met up in real life. Not going to lie -- we were both pretty freaked about seeing our double in the flesh.

Check out the mind-bending submissions over at Twin Strangers, and check out the video up top to see Geaney and Karen -- true twin strangers -- finally meet.
