Brooklyn has become such a hot commodity, everyone wants a piece of it even if they can’t afford to move there.

With neighborhoods becoming more and more expensive over the past decade, some people are being forced out of their homes, while others are unable to realize their hipster dreams and move to Williamsburg.

Fret not, however, as The Piece of Brooklyn Project is looking to give a piece of Kings County to anyone who wants for the affordable price of $4.

The piece is a quite literal one, and comes in the form of a pebble or broken sidewalk about the size of a quarter.

“Brooklyn is world-renowned for it’s creativity,” said founder and Brooklyn entrepreneur Floyd Hayes. “Living here has been an amazing source of inspiration for me since moving from London in 2004. I wanted to put something back into the community and this is where the idea began.

“The idea is to sell small pieces of stone that I pick up off the streets of Brooklyn. They are packaged in a clear presentation box and rubber stamped for authenticity.”

The good news is that some of the proceeds will go to charity, with $1 of each piece of Brooklyn allocated to the Brooklyn Arts Council.

If you want to own a piece of Brooklyn, check out the store here.
