Zach Sobiech, the teenager whose story has touched and affected millions, has passed away at the tender age of 18.

Known most famously for his viral YouTube hit song, “Clouds,” Zach suffered from a rare form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma.

He was originally diagnosed when he was 14, but it was later revealed that he had tumors in both of his lungs and was given 4 to 6 months to live.

Because of this, he wrote songs as a way to say goodbye to friends and family, as well as to spread positivity despite his bleak diagnosis.

When his song “Clouds” went viral, he was able to sign with Broadcast Music Inc., fulfilling his dream of being a signed musician.

His final days were compiled in the documentary by Rainn Wilson, “My Last Days: Meet Zach Sobiech.”

Zach has inspired people everywhere to live life to the fullest regardless of knowing what the future holds, as he has been a shining example of it.

In his honor, Zach’s family started the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund to help fund research for his rare form of cancer.

Thank you Zach for inspiring us all. We will try to live by your advice as much as possible, and we will always hold you in our memory.
