This Couple Will Do Literally Anything To Look Just Like Barbie And Ken (Photos)

A couple from Paris reportedly spent over $300,000 to look like Barbie and Ken, and the pair looks *sighs* sooo great.

Unrealistic beauty standards promoted by Barbie dolls are a consistent point of contention among those who think maybe we shouldn't expose our children to the wonderful world of body issues before they learn their times tables.

I mean, you can't ACTUALLY become a Barbie doll.

Nobody is born without a waist or any semblance of non-muscle attached to his or her body.

It's impossible. Entirely unrealistic. It could never happen… without almost half a million dollars in disposable income and the help of a full medical staff, veneers, lip injections, nose jobs, breast augmentation surgery, Botox injections and cheek fillers.

Yup, aside from all those things, it's just not doable. Ask 23-year-old Quentin Dehar and 20-year-old Anastasia Reskoss, who underwent extensive body-transformation regimens to slowly morph themselves into IRL versions of Barbie and Ken, according to Daily Mail.

The couple said they've always been obsessed with Barbie dolls. Anastasia, who is from St. Petersburg, Russia, said she owned more than 100 of them growing up.

She reportedly said,

At secondary school, I just felt like I was never a really pretty girl and I believed I looked very pale too. I turned to the Barbies I always loved as a kid. I just loved how tanned and perfect they were.

Quentin's reasons for transforming himself into Ken had more to do with material wealth and the "billionaire lifestyle" the doll appears to lead. Quentin now drives a Porsche just like his idol and dresses like a yuppie mannequin.
