Here's How To Trick Your Facebook Friends Into Thinking You Can See The Future

Facebook

Apparently, there is a way to backdate your Facebook statuses. But, I guess, literally no one ever uses it, because one man took advantage of it to trick hundreds of thousands of people into thinking he was psychic.

The moral of the story is, of course, this: People are really stupid. But what this guy did was also super funny.

Pablo Reyes posted this backdated Facebook status, predicting everything that was going to happen this year.

And, because people on the Internet are more gullible than a baby high on coke, everyone in the world believed him.

The weird thing is, it's ridiculously easy to do this. But no one does.

All you do is click on the little clock icon below the text box that you'd been ignoring since the beginning of time, and you can just select the date you want this to be posted on.

Now, I have no idea why this exists, or what purpose it could serve. My only guess is that some programmer's boyfriend got annoyed at her because she didn't share his band's Bandcamp page when his EP "ROCKOSAURUS REX" came out last August, and she needed to do some tampering with time.

I tried my hand at the psychic technique.
