‘Insta Sit’ Is Bikini Bloggers’ Fave New Pose And It’s Basically Man-Spreading

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a good bikini pose.

I pretty much invented the “duck face.” Heck, I’ll even admit the “T. Rex hand” is loosely based on me as well.

But there’s something not quite right about the latest Instagram pose. And for that reason, I can take no credit for it.

It’s called the “Insta Sit.” Just take a look at it:

See what I mean? Something’s just a bit… off about the whole thing. It’s kind of like an awkward man-spread.

It looks like all you need to do to pull this pose off is get into a bikini, fold one leg in towards the inner thigh of your other, hunch over and cock your head like a sad puppy.

Model Elyse Knowles did this for the cover of “Women’s Fitness” magazine.

She sat in a studio and was ordered by a professional photographer to pose like that. A PROFESSIONAL photographer. So it’s official then.

And I’m officially out of a job, because while I can “duck face” and “T. Rex hand” like I’m working for tips, there’s no way my stumpy, hair-tangled legs are ready for this. No sir, not today. Not ever.

Elyse has been owning the pose for a while. Here she is six weeks ago eating a meal how every normal human being eats — semi naked, in between shoots before flying out to LA.

But Elyse isn’t the only one cashing in on the awkward leg-fold. Alexis Ren was pictured in what I’m 95 percent sure is a mankini doing it.

And Brooke Hogan’s in on the action as well.

Don’t forget about Gabby Epstein. She’s been crushing it since last week.

Then there’s Kiki Morris, whose terrible pose distracts us from the tropical scene around her.

Pia Muehlenbeck looks genuinely comfy, to be fair.
