Mayor Who Raped A 4-Year-Old Girl Says She 'Initiated Sex'

Common decency is something I'd like to think I can expect from most human beings.

Unfortunately, as most human beings living here on planet Earth wind up finding out the hard way, it seems to be a little too much to ask for.

So I, at the very least, hope I can expect it from the people we like to call role models.

But, unfortunately, that also seems like it's too much to ask.

In the most repulsive news you'll hear all day, a former mayor raped a 4-year-old girl.

And if an upstanding role model to society sexually assaulting a child wasn't horrific enough for you, don't worry. It only gets worse: The former city mayor claims that she was a "willing participant."

Richard Keenan, the former city mayor in question, openly admitted to the rape of the 4-year-old, but reports show that he also claims she was a "willing participant" who initiated the sex. Disgusting.

Ironically, Keenan, who served as mayor of Hubbard, Ohio in 2010 and 2011, is known as a "dedicated" Christian. He now faces multiple accounts of rape and attempted rape of a child.

According to the Youngstown Vindicator, he confessed to members of his family and a social worker that he was, in fact, guilty of abuse over the course of a three-year period.

He stands by his claim that the 4-year-old victim was the one who "initiated sex."

Not sure how a 4-year-old child who most likely has no idea what sex is goes about "initiating sex," but that seems to be the story Keenan is sticking to.

Metro News reports that these confessions were made by the Keenan during discussions at a hospital. The obviously mentally unstable man went on to check himself into a psychiatric clinic because he was suicidal.

His trial is due to take place in April of next year. It is now up to a judge to decide what happens to this disgusting human.
