A mysterious light shooting across the sky caused a bit of panic across the West Coast on Saturday night.
Residents in multiple states captured footage of what seemed to mimic the flight of a shooting star, but had the sound of something much more powerful.
This video was taken by a Twitter user in the Los Angeles area.

Meanwhile, witnesses who captured this video could be heard freaking out over the sighting.

As of now, information gathered by reporters on the West Coast indicated the light is the result of military testing.

On the other hand, an astronomer at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles told ABC that witnesses could have seen a comet.
Regardless of what the cause is, it's safe to say that the sighting is definitely a freakish one.
