This Picture Of Someone's Bare Feet On A Plane Seat Is Freaking Twitter Out

by Brenda Santana

Flying can be a real nightmare sometimes.

Waiting in long lines, having to take off your shoes, and walking on germ-filled floors can definitely make your traveling experience a negative one. The only thing that would make it worse is finding someone lounging with their bare feet exposed in the seats next to you.

This is what happened to Twitter user @JessieChar on a flight from Long Beach to San Francisco, California. She got to her assigned row and encountered two empty seats before her flight took a turn for the worst.

"My two favorite people to sit with on a plane," Char wrote on an optimistic tweet that would soon come to an end after being joined by two very unexpected guests.

"Today, I flew on the set of a nightmare."

Yup. The empty seats next to her were seemingly taken by someone's bare feet, and her flight was automatically ruined.

This tweet of feet on an airplane seat (wow, I really didn't mean for that to rhyme) has really struck a nerve in the Twitterverse with more than 4,000 retweets and over 22,000 likes.

People are legit freaking out over this photo and have wasted no time expressing their discontent.

"OMG no no no."

"Both of these guys belong on the no-fly list."

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Some users took the opportunity to make jokes.

Ah, a very relevant joke, @Serial_Trader_. The world needs more witty people like you!

Other users offered some hacks to get rid of feet in the future.

Great advice guys, but putting your hands on a stranger's feet doesn't seem like the ideal situation.

Twitter user @BLPrime shared a similar experience.

Who knew feet on a seat was a flying trend? Why would anyone in their right mind do this? Is nothing sacred anymore?

Char's experience would put a damper on anyone's flight, but she shared an anecdote and things get way worse.

Feet have no business closing windows. It's just plain wrong!

I suggest the next time you travel, take some hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray and hope your neighbor isn't a pair of feet.
