This Giant Spider Ate A Lizard Right Next To A Family Enjoying A Meal

Here's an unpopular opinion: I love spiders.

I think they're super cute with their furry bods and that it's dope as heck they can shoot webs out of their tushies, build their own home and eat really annoying bugs that I don't like.

Spiders are my bros. Anything and anyone that is willing to take on a wasp for me is my friend.

That said, this does give me a bit of pause...

Excuse me while I scream and beg for the cold embrace of death rather than live on the same planet as this beast.

Sorry, that's a bit dramatic. It would be cute if it wasn't eating an also cute lizard.

Melanie Jade Ottaway was enjoying dinner with her partner Troy James when they noticed that they had a third guest near the dinner table.

A giant huntsman spider, like a college freshman afraid to eat alone at the cafeteria, brought his dinner over and politely chomped away near the couple -- hoping it looked like he had friends.

Ottaway said,

We just sat down to have dinner at the dining table and noticed something massive on the glass sliding door. I got up to have a closer look and there it was, a huge huntsman with a gorgeous little gecko in his mouth. It was too late to save him, so we let nature take its path. It's creepy isn't it, but fascinating in a strange way.

Most of the time, these spiders that can grow up to 12 inches, eat cockroaches. I would take a giant spider over cockroaches any day of the week.

I have lived in NYC -- I've done my time with cockroaches.

Wait... I think I've seen this before... Yeah, it's coming to me now.

A spider that's hanging upside down performing mouth-to-mouth with another being?

Oh, so you're freaked out by a real spider mouth-kissing something, but this is considered a classic Hollywood kiss? Whatever, hater.
